LGBT Interdisciplinary Academic Symposium Invitation
As part of its twenty-fifth anniversary celebration, the Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Equity (CLGBTE) will sponsor an LGBT interdisciplinary academic symposium, showcasing current LGBT research and instruction conducted at Penn State by faculty and graduate students from across the University’s twenty-four campuses. The day’s agenda, featuring a robust lineup of presentations across disciplines and campuses, will be finalized shortly. Gilles Herrada, author of The Missing Myth: A New Vision of Same-Sex Love, will deliver the keynote address.

The Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Equity (CLGBTE) celebrates twenty-five years of advocacy and progress at The Pennsylvania State University. Since 1991, CLGBTE has served as an advisory group to the president of Penn State and improved the climate for diversity by addressing issues that affect lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender members of the University community. The Commission has endeavored to initiate and promote programs, policies, and practices that make our environment both equitable and supportive of the LGBT community.
