Communications and Marketing


Communications developed by units in the Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity require review to maintain the University's visual and editorial design standards.

To ensure the quality and consistency of all print and electronic communications, as well as promotional merchandise for the Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity, an editorial and visual review of these items is required.

Publications requiring U.Ed. numbers

Print and Electronic Communications 

(Items needing review include, but are not limited to):

Apparel and Merchandise

(Examples include, but are not limited to):

  • Award plaques
  • Coffee mugs
  • Pens
  • Table covers
  • Tote bags
  • T-shirts
  • Water bottles

(All merchandise must be purchased through a licensed Penn State vendor.)

IMPORTANT: All print procurement must include the Multimedia Specialist who will work directly with a customer service representative at the Multimedia Print Center (MPC). All print projects MUST be produced by Penn State approved vendors.

Educational Equity units will continue to coordinate office stationery (e.g., letterhead, and business cards, #10 envelopes), through the MPC directly.

FINISHED ART FILES created internally must be submitted to the Multimedia Specialist for final review that may require document refinement and/or printer preparation. The Multimedia Specialist reserves the right to edit or implement graphic alterations that include proper use of brand identities, spacing, type treatment, and over all graphic presentation.
