Proposals and Program Evaluations for Student Recruitment and Retention-Graduation Programs
Most Equal Opportunity Planning Committee (EOPC) student recruitment and retention-graduation programs must provide specific information about program participants using Excel templates, which can be accessed at the link at the bottom of this page, so that EOPC can better evaluate the impact that programs have on recruitment and retention-graduation. Potentially, this process can simplify the evaluation for some programs since, if program directors choose to do so, this information can serve as the sole evaluation for a program. Program directors are not limited to only this type of evaluation, but this information is all that is required for the evaluation of student recruitment and retention-graduation programs. If you choose to limit your proposal to this evaluation, please indicate this in the Evaluation Plan portion of the proposal narrative.
Please note that, in rare cases, student recruitment and retention-graduation programs do not conduct programs for a specific group of students. In these cases, programs should develop their proposals and program evaluations without the use of these Excel templates. Also, some programs may work with populations (particularly populations of students in lower grade levels) where it may not be appropriate to use these templates or where it may be more appropriate to use them in a manner that is different from what is described below. Finally, the "Non-Program Students" component below presents some special challenges and, under certain circumstances, may not be appropriate for a given program. Program directors should consult with Mike Blanco (814-863-7890) on the appropriate use of the templates below.
