Framework to Foster Diversity at Penn State 2010-15
Since the implementation of the initial Framework, we have achieved considerable progress in creating the environment we envisioned, one "characterized by equal access and respected participation for all groups and individuals irrespective of cultural differences and, more importantly, where the multiplicity of characteristics possessed by persons are not simply tolerated but valued."16
Under each of the Dimensions and Challenges below, we present outcomes noted through comprehensive analysis of the review process and areas targeted for continued improvement. More information about best practices in place at the unit level is available on the Educational Equity Web site ( www.equity.psu.edu ) through the Best Practices documents and the review updates and feedback.
