Grace Lee

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Class Standing: Sophomore

Ethnicity: Korean

Hi! I am Grace Lee, a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I am also in the Schreyer Honors College, so if you have any questions about the honors program, I would love to help out! I am a townie. I was born here in State College and went to middle school and high school here as well. I spent most of my childhood in South Korea and also lived in Texas for 2 years. Besides serving as a mentor for AASIA, I am involved in the Global Medical Brigades and Alpha Epsilon Delta (National Health Preprofessional Honor Society). Over the past spring break, I traveled with the Global Medical Brigades to Panama and spent an amazing time volunteering on clinical days and interacting with local community members! As you can tell, I am on the pre-med track. After graduating college, I hope to go to medical school. I am beginning to feel passionate about global health and I also love doing biomedical research. Currently, I am a research assistant in one of the BMB laboratories in the Life Sciences Building. This summer, I will be at the Hershey Penn State College of Medicine doing research and attending clinical sessions. My favorite hobbies are cooking, baking, eating, sleeping, listening to music, and watching Korean soap operas!! I am excited to get to know all the mentees this year and I am sure we will have a great time! Feel free to talk to me about anything! I love listening to people’s stories and I look forward to sharing my experiences here with you.
