Major: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Class Standing: Junior
Hi! I am Grace Lee, a junior majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I am also in the Schreyer Honors College, so if you have any questions about the honors program, I can help out! I was born here in State College and went to middle school and high school here. I spent most of my childhood in South Korea and also lived in Texas for 2 years.
After graduating college, I hope to go to medical school and become a physician in internal medicine. I love interacting with patients and hope to help them heal and get better physically, socially, and spiritually! Other than being a coordinator for AASIA, I am involved in the Global Medical Brigades and Alpha Epsilon Delta (National Health Preprofessional Honor Society). Spring break of my freshman year, I traveled with the Global Medical Brigades to Panama and spent an amazing time volunteering on clinical days and interacting with local community members! I have interests in global health and I am involved in a neuroscience research on campus. I work with human neuron cells and mice!
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, eating, sleeping, listening to music, and watching Korean soap operas!! I was a mentor last year, and I am excited to get to know all the mentors and mentees this year! Feel free to talk to me about anything! I love listening to people’s stories and I look forward to sharing my experiences here with you.
