Hi! I am Grace Lee, a senior majoring in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Genetics & Developmental Biology. I am also part of the Schreyer Honors College, so if you have any questions about the honors program, I am happy to help out! I was born here in State College and went to middle school and high school here. I spent most of my childhood in South Korea and also lived in Texas for 2 years during elementary school.

After graduating from college, I hope to go to medical school and become a physician. I love interacting with patients and hope to help them heal and get better physically, socially, and mentally! Other than being a coordinator for AASIA, I am involved in the Global Medical Brigades, Science Lion Pride, and Alpha Epsilon Delta (National Health Preprofessional Honor Society). Spring break of my freshman year, I traveled with the Global Medical Brigades to Panama and spent an amazing time volunteering on clinical days and interacting with local community members! I have interests in global health and I am also involved in a neuroscience research on campus. I work with human neuron cells and mice! This summer, I worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and had a chance to engage in fetal surgery research. I am passionate about biomedical research and medicine.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, eating, sleeping, listening to music, and watching Korean shows!! I was a mentor during my sophomore year, and I am excited to get to know all the mentors and mentees this year! Feel free to talk to me about anything! I love listening to people’s stories and I look forward to sharing my experiences here with you.
