Hey there! My name is Susan Chu and I’m a sophomore majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and Linguistics. I'm a first-generation student born and raised in Philly, and so over the past year here at Penn State, there was a lot to learn and get used to but it's worth the adventure! I'm also a Paterno Fellows aspirant, which is basically the Liberal Arts equivalent to Schreyers Honors students. Besides being a mentee last year and being a member of the Blue and White Society, I've also joined the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA). During my free time, I love to watch movies, listening to music, practice Chinese and Korean, and exercise.

With my freshman experiences still pretty recent in my mind, I hope to share some good advice and positive influence, as freshman year can seem intimidating. But, don't forget that it's a new start and it's the perfect time to make the most of it! I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and being apart of making this transition smooth!
