Major: Mechanical Engineering
Minor: Biomedical Engineering
Class Standing: Junior
Ethnicity: Chinese

Hey everyone!  My name is Jack Zheng. I am a junior majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in biomedical engineering. I was born in China and moved to the United States with my family when I was 4 years old. I am from the Pittsburgh area. I was a mentee in the AASIA program my freshman year, and I found it very helpful to have a mentor guide me through my transition to college. It was also nice to have someone to talk to if I had any concerns or problems. I've learned a lot throughout my freshman year trying to balance everything I was doing, and I hope to use my freshman experience to help guide the mentees through theirs.

When I first arrived at Penn State, I made sure to get involved. I am a member of a Thon organization called Everyday (where I hold the secretary position), Biomedical Engineering Society, OPPerations THON committee, and Korean Pop Dance Club. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, eating food, and staying active. Some of my hobbies include playing basketball and tennis, going on runs around campus, and working out at the gym.

I am very excited for this upcoming school year and can't wait to meet all of you. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. See you all soon!
