Class Standing: Junior
Ethnicity: Vietnamese

Hi everybody! My name’s Sierra, and I’m a junior majoring in psychology. I was adopted from Vietnam when I was four months old and have lived in Rochester, NY ever since.

Last year, I was a first-time mentor for AASIA, and I loved the experience! Being able to pass on advice and provide support to an incoming student was extremely rewarding. There’s nothing better than watching your mentee grow—mentally, emotionally, academically, and maybe even physically—throughout the school year! This year, I’ll be a first-time coordinator, and I couldn’t be more excited! I can’t wait to help mentors develop invaluable relationships with their mentees and come up with fun, engaging events with my fellow coordinators.

Outside of AASIA, I’m involved in Empower Orphans and Apollo, and I’m a Resident Assistant and research assistant. In my spare time, I enjoy taking nature walks, listening to music, playing sports, online shopping, camping, playing piano, and spending time with family and friends.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk to me anytime! I can’t wait to meet you all!
