Leslie is originally from New Jersey, but has been a State College resident for 13 years. In addition to being a single mother of three, she has consistently made the dean’s list with an exemplary GPA, is a McNair Scholar, has conducted vital research in the U.S. and Cuba, and is a prolific artist. Leslie’s success in the many arenas of her life is inspiring and truly illustrates her resiliency. She will be graduating with degrees in three majors and two minors. Leslie’s future plans include master’s and doctorate degrees in Women’s Studies and Art Education.
