Dayanna is a senior from Philadelphia, PA. As a freshman she was eager to follow her passion by continuing to serve her community as she did back home. Her involvement includes active service in SMART (Student Minority Advisory and Recruitment Team), FastStart, Campus Girl Scouts, the MLK, Jr. Commemoration, and the HDFS Undergraduate Student Organization (USO). As the current president for the HDFS USO, she organizes community activities, networking events with HDFS faculty and alumni, and professional development workshops. Her future career in community health will allow her to continue to give back to her community by helping to eliminate health disparities. After graduation she will be attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for a master’s/Ph.D. in Community Health.
