Inspiring Student Leader Award

Hyeju Lee  B.S., Supply Chain and Information Systems

Hyeju Lee is a first-generation Korean student from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in Supply Chain and Information Systems with a minor in International Business. She has wasted no time excelling academically and becoming involved. In addition to being a student worker for three years in the Multicultural Resource Center, Hyeju is a protégé in the Smeal College of Business, a mentor for the Asian American Students in Action (AASIA) mentoring program, and the web coordinator for the Multicultural Women’s Forum. She did a year-long co-op with the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, and interned at Lycoming Engines Company. She regularly volunteered, helping out at Harbor House Domestic Abuse Shelter and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and even while abroad in Seoul, teaching English at a senior center. She has accepted a full-time position to become a part of Textron’s Leadership Development Program. Hyeju’s personal goal is to inspire young people to break through barriers so they can reach their full potential.
