Student Speaker Award

Maurice Saunders
B.S., Security and Risk Analysis
B.S., Information Sciences and Technology

Maurice Saunders is a first-generation student from Philadelphia, and a Lenfest and Bunton-Waller scholar. He will graduate this May with two bachelor of science degrees, one in information sciences and technology (integration option) and the other in security and risk analysis (cybersecurity option). Maurice will begin working full-time this summer with Accenture in Atlanta, Georgia, doing cybersecurity consulting. Transitioning to Penn State was challenging for him, but he continuously improved every semester. It took until his fourth semester for him to achieve a 3.0, but he didn’t let that slow him down. Maurice obtained an internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers his junior year. During his four years in college, Maurice learned to embrace the struggle while letting it build his character. Maurice strives to be a positive role model for all inner city kids.
