Autumn has been with TRIO and The Pennsylvania State University since October 2016 working as the middle school counselor for the Talent Search Program at McKeesport Area School District. In early 2018, she began using her writing and photography skills as a member of the social media team, bringing staff and student stories into focus. As a PA-certified English and social studies educator for grades 7-12, Autumn worked with students in a number of settings prior to coming to TRIO including summer camp, youth ministry, as well as career and technical, traditional, and homebound education. Regardless of the setting, she has sought to facilitate experiential, student centered education with real life applications. She has found Talent Search to be a perfect fit!
Autumn resides in South Park Township with her family, black lab Indy, and tabby cat Gravy. As a family, they enjoy spending time together in the kitchen and exploring the great outdoors. When she gets a moment to herself, Autumn enjoys a good science fiction or historical novel, gardening, and photography.
