Karen has worked with the Talent Search Program at Aliquippa Junior Senior High School for over twenty four years. She has also worked as a mobile therapist and an after school tutor. At Penn State Karen, served on the Commission on Racial/Ethnic Diversity (CORED) and the Commission for Women campus liaison. She proudly developed and executes the Peer After School Tutoring (PAST) Program in Aliquippa.  Karen is a member of the Beaver County Counselor’s Association and a member of the American Counseling Association. She is a K-12 Pennsylvania Certified School Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor. 

Karen is strongly dedicated to community and serves in various roles helping outside of school. She was born and raised in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and she lives in New Brighton, Pennsylvania with her husband Richard. Karen has three grown children who have all been educated through the Penn State system. She is a cycling enthusiast, loves the outdoors, and vacationing with family.
