Ms. Nada Madrid is a Lebanese-American who was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She attended McGill University in Montreal, QC, Canada where she earned her B.A., and went on to earn her M.A. in School Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Nada spent the next 8 years as a high school counselor with Fairfax County Public Schools.
Nada began working with Upward Bound Penn State in 2019. Inspired daily by Maya Angelou’s quote, she seeks to help students forge their own paths with strength and resolve. She brings her vast knowledge of the college process to the program, along with her passion and empathy.
Nada and her husband moved to State College, PA in 2015 where they could raise their two sons and daughter in the beautiful, family-oriented environment of Happy Valley.
