Summer STEM Program


A six-week summer session at the University Park campus gives students intensive instruction in math, science, and language courses as well as experience conducting hands-on research at Penn State's premier research facilities in the College of Earth and Mineral SciencesEberly College of Science, and the College of Agricultural Sciences

What does the Summer Residential Program provide?

An opportunity to gain valuable, first-hand experience in college life through a six-week stay at the Penn State University Park campus , where students attend classes in math, science, and communication; conduct and present research; and participate in educational, cultural, and community activities.

  • Trigonometry/Precalculus
  • Honors Calculus
  • Biology (with Lab)
  • Chemistry (with Lab)
  • Physics (with Lab)
  • Research Writing
  • Public Speaking
  • Computer Sciences 
  • SAT Preparation

Electives in topics such as African Dance, College Search and Selection, Statistics, Greek Culture, College Essay Writing, Best Practices in Social Media, Introduction to Drawing, and Nuclear Energy.
