Penn State's Diversity Strategic Plan

Penn State is in its second cycle of diversity strategic planning as outlined in A Framework to Foster Diversity at Penn State: 2004-09. In order to assist colleges and academic support units in developing and implementing effective initiatives that address the Seven Challenges identified in the Framework, the Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity is hosting a workshop in spring 2009 on “best practices” in diversity strategic planning.

This workshop will feature Daryl Smith, professor of education and psychology at Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Smith is nationally recognized for her expertise on diversity in higher education and organizational change. Ample opportunity will be provided to discuss specific strategies with Dr. Smith.
