  • Hybrid Event

Advancing your research portfolio is a key faculty objective.  This session will continue the mentorship focus on helping you build and move your research portfolio forward by introducing Penn State faculty across the Commonwealth to the wealth of resources available at Penn State to support externally funded research and build productive research collaborations.

Dr. Sarah Chilenski, Research Professor at the Edna Bennett Research Center, co-lead of the Group to Reduce Inequities in Prevention, and Senior Faculty Mentor will lead a panel presentation with Center and Institute Directors, Assistant Directors, and faculty from across the University. Attendees will learn about (1) each center’s/institute’s mission, including information about the research projects that occur in their Institute or Center; (2) existing collaboration opportunities; and (3) presenters’ ideas and vision of future directions.  This session will encourage faculty to consider which research center(s) or institute(s) at PSU would be a good fit for them, and faculty will be encouraged to follow-up with one-on-one mentoring sessions with Dr. Chilenski to further explore this topic.

Panel Presenter list pending

Who should attend: Early-career faculty, mid-career faculty, and others who want to learn more about how to engage the available opportunities in the community of research centers.
