Demystifying Penn State Research Centers – Part 5:
- February 24, 2026
- 12:00 p.m.
- Zoom
Advancing your research portfolio is a key faculty objective. This session will continue the discussion from December, introducing attendees to additional Centers and Institutes at Penn State to help faculty find their “research home.” Dr. Sarah Chilenski, Research Professor at the Edna Bennett Research Center, co-lead of the Group to Reduce Inequities in Prevention, and Senior Faculty Mentor will lead a panel presentation with Center and Institute Directors, Assistant Directors, and other faculty leadership across the University.
Attendees will learn about:
- Each center’s/institute’s mission, including information about the research projects that occur in their Institute or Center
- Existing collaboration opportunities
- Presenters’ ideas and vision of future directions
This session will encourage faculty to consider which research center(s) or institute(s) at PSU would be a good fit for them. Faculty will be encouraged to follow-up with one-on-one mentoring sessions with Dr. Chilenski to strategize engagement with relevant centers and institutes, or to reach out to presenters directly to begin engaging with them.
This session will help faculty build and move their research portfolio forward by introducing them to the wealth of resources available at Penn State to support externally funded research and build productive research collaborations.
