Advancing your research portfolio is a key faculty objective. This session will kick-off a specific focus on mentorship to help you build and move your research portfolio forward. Dr. Sarah Chilenski, Research Professor at the Edna Bennett Research Center and Senior Faculty Mentor will pull back the curtain and demystify the plethora of research support that is available to faculty at Penn State. This first session will focus on the role of research institutes and centers at Penn State. Attendees will learn about the variety of available resources, their core functions, and how they can facilitate research for faculty across levels and disciplines.
After hearing from panelists about their experiences, we will open up time for discussion. We encourage attendees to come ready with questions, but coming to listen and learn is also welcome!
Panelists: Dr. William Calo, Dr. Joel Segel, and one more person TBN
Who should attend: Early-career faculty, mid-career faculty, and others who want to learn more about how to engage the available opportunities in the community of research centers.
