Yaree’

YareeYaree’ is a leader, athlete, and scholar who just graduated from Aliquippa Jr/Sr High School. She’s made the most of her high school journey — playing flag football, volleyball, and basketball, where she hit 1,000 rebounds and helped lead her team to a WPIAL championship.

Outside of sports, she serves as Vice President of National Honor Society, participates in Drug-Free Aliquippa, and is a part of Prudent Women, where she learned how to embrace confidence and independence.

Yaree’ credits her mother as her greatest inspiration.

“She always pushes me. She never lets me give up. She shows me and my little sister like this is how you are to be a woman. When I walk in the building I’m representing myself, my sister, my mom, my family.”

Inspired by her mother’s strength, Yaree’ values perseverance and always finds ways to reset and move forward.

This fall, she’ll attend Penn State University – University Park on a full-ride scholarship, majoring in Nursing. Her long-term dream? To become a travel nurse, caring for people both across the country and around the world.

Quote by Yaree’:

“You shouldn’t give up on life. You have way more purpose in life. You are on this earth for a reason, so live up to it. You never know when it’s your time to be great — so just keep going.”
