Key event in career

I worked with a distinguished dean and faculty early in my career at Indiana University School of Library and Information Science. They influenced me to take my career to the next level.

How she expanded her sphere of influence

I am active on the state, regional, and national level with the profession of research librarianship. Thus, I have been privileged, over the years, to contribute to important initiatives such as development of the learning commons concept, digital library initiatives, diversity advancement, and library fundraising. I also have a deep network of colleagues locally and professionally. Lastly, I have sought and accepted university-wide leadership roles.

"Seek leadership roles at the earliest possible opportunity and do not be afraid of embracing the multiple dimensions of your lives."
