The Messier Student Organization Grants

Purpose

The purpose of the Reva Lincoln Messier ('37) Endowment is to enrich the Penn State community by supporting student organization programs, events, that foster equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Student organizations seeking funding are required to:

• Complete the Messier Student Organization Funding Request Proposal Form, linked below
• Submit a detailed budget outlining the proposed use of funds
• Submit a copy of the organization's funding request to UPAC and UPAC's response
• Compete the Post-Event Evaluation Form, linked below 

Student organizations must first seek funding through UPAC before applying for Messier funding.

As part of the funding review process, student organizations may be asked to meet with Dr. Chatters, Interim Vice Provost for Educational Equity, to discuss their proposed event and its anticipated impact on the Penn State community.

 Student organizations approved for funding may receive up to $1,000 per academic year, subject to available funding and program guidelines.
