Carla Roser-Jones, ’73 M.Ed.

Born and raised in rural York County, Pennsylvania where she acquired life-long interests in agriculture and animals, Carla completed a bachelor’s degree in social work with a medical emphasis at Lock Haven University, and a master’s degree at Penn State University in Vocational Rehabilitation. She worked for the Pa. Department of Labor and Industry in vocational evaluation and vocational rehabilitation for thirty years.
Carla has served on numerous committees and organizations focused on diversity and inclusion, disability rights, women’s rights and animal rights.
Currently, she serves on the board of the Bellefonte Art Museum and the board for Interfaith Human Services. She is the Democratic Chair for the 48th Precinct of Centre County and a Master Naturalist.
Carla has been a critical figure in the growth of Educational Equity at Penn State, witnessing firsthand the University’s implementation of its strategic plan to embrace and support diversity. Bringing a historical lens and tangible educational experiences to the Advisory Board, Carla has firmly established herself as a philanthropic leader in Educational Equity. Calling on her extensive network and regional community to further her activism she continues to connect Centre County with enriching experiences that embody her love of art, culture, and history, and keeping in tradition with her
long-standing commitment to education.
Carla Roser-Jones lives in State College, Pennsylvania, and has three grown children and three grandchildren.
