Provost Endorsement Program

The Provost Endorsement Program is designed to support and elevate purposeful, sustainable, easily recognizable, and equitable professional development for faculty in all units.

The Provost Endorsement Program provides faculty with easy access to a range of evidence-based professional development activities that encompass 1) teaching and outreach; 2) research, scholarship, and creative accomplishment; and 3) leadership and service.

Within the leadership and service domain, the Building Inclusive Campus Environments: Leadership for Bias Responseprovost endorsement program will prepare individuals to support students, faculty, and staff involved in the bias reporting process, including alleged targets, alleged wrongdoers, and others involved in the process.

Participants will learn about Bias Response and associated policies, trauma-informed practices to employ when speaking with involved parties, and how to navigate difficult conversations. Working closely with individuals in their program and/or department, participants will develop a plan to guide response to and prevention of future bias reports.

Intended audience: academic unit heads and faculty interested in better understanding bias reporting, responding to a bias report, and having difficult conversations with individuals involved in bias reports, including alleged targets and alleged wrongdoers.
