Frankie

My main interest right now is astronomy. If I am going to be honest, I’ve probably been interested in space since the third grade; the whole idea of space and there being something more out there has always intrigued and fascinated me. I have always wanted to know more, and it might just end up being my career. I would like to be able to focus on star patterns and be able to discover a new planet out there that had something interesting, like Earth; a planet that can sustain life.  I’d like to be part of discovering possible alien lifeforms, I guess. Alien is just a cover term for it, it doesn’t have to be the green blobs we imagine them to be. It could be as simple as a plant or bacteria.

Frankie is part of New Castle Junior High School and a part of Penn State Talent Search’s graduating class of 2027. She enjoys that the program provides her with a lot of resources to explore colleges, including a trip to Youngstown State University last year and the chance to experience their planetarium. In school she is a member of National Junior Honor Society and Student Council. She runs for the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Frankie has played the trumpet for five years and enjoys being part of the marching band at her school. Frankie balances all of this with a packed advanced class schedule and is a straight A student.
