Jamiya
I don’t really make honor roll. I have good grades, but not honor roll. That is a goal for me this year. I am going to make sure I get my work done. I am going to make sure I am focused, not playing around. The thing I struggle with the most is being distracted quickly and not being able to focus in class or while I am doing my work. I need to find the thing that helps my brain and body work together to think and comprehend.
Jamiya is a member of Clairton Middle/High School’s class of 2026, where she is involved in Penn State Talent Search and a student athlete. You can see Jamiya playing for the basketball, flag football, and track and field teams. She excels in her math classes and hopes to earn honor roll this year, a goal she is well on her way to accomplishing after earning high honors for the first grading period. She also mimes with Blessed and Chosen and sees it as a great ministry for youth and an opportunity to worship. After high school, Jamiya hopes to play basketball for a D1 school and eventually be recruited into the WNBA. If she is unable to pursue a career in sports, she would like to help other athletes by studying physical therapy.
