Aaliyah
Talent Search has helped me a lot. I was able to take my SATs twice for free and then apply anywhere I wanted. Penn State was one of the last places I applied because I didn’t really have that much confidence in myself to be able to get in. I was nervous, and I feel like if it wasn’t free, I just wouldn’t have applied. I ended up being accepted into five schools and it was nice that I didn’t ever have to worry about paying the $50 for each one, because it adds up. Being the first in my family to go to college makes me feel really good about myself; [being first generation] is a hard thing to do. But everyone supports me, and I think it will be okay. I am really excited, excited for a little bit of freedom and a fresh start.
