Summer Positions

Each summer Upward Bound Programs (UBP) seeks talented and motivated instructors and residential staff who are interested in developing their leadership skills while engaging in academic and social activities with high school students from June through July.

Successful candidates will help staff the UBP Summer Academy for Creative Studies which hosts students during a six-week experience, offering participants a taste of college life, as well as assistance with academic courses and leadership development. 

Available positions are typically posted from February through June each year and will be linked below when available.

Assistant Director - TRIO Upward Bound Programs East

Penn State’s Upward Bound Programs (UBP) in the Office of Educational Equity is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Director - East. Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits.
