Accessible Transportation and Parking

Accessible transportation and parking around Penn State's University Park campus is facilitated by on-campus accessible parking spaces, CATABUS service, and campus shuttles

Accessible transportation and parking options

  • Accessible parking spaces are available on campus for individuals with state-issued accessible parking placards or license plates. A campus map showing accessible parking is available online. Transportation Services is available to discuss accessible parking. SDR is not involved in issuing accessible parking placards or license plates.
  • The CATABUS service provides fare-free rides circulating campus and downtown State College. CATA busses can accommodate wheelchairs, and service dogs are permitted on the busses.   
  • Two campus shuttles provide no-fare transportation to more than 20 stops around campus.  The shuttle is equipped with a wheelchair lift. A campus map showing the shuttle’s routes and times is available online.
