Provides reasonable accommodations and services to students with disabilities enrolled at the University Park campus.

Penn State has a disability services office at every Penn State campus that provides reasonable accommodations and services for students with disabilities. Each designated office

  • requests and maintains disability-related documents
  • certifies eligibility for services
  • determines and develops plans for reasonable accommodations such as academic accommodations, auxiliary aids, and/or services

as mandated under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

  • College Liaisons
    SDR Disability Specialists focus on specific colleges to better understand and support the unique needs of students, faculty, and staff. In addition, SDR Partnership Liaisons help build and maintain relationships between SDR and specific colleges. Their liaison designation reflects a partnership-building role, not hierarchy or sole responsibility for college-related communication. Partnership Liaisons focus on relationship-building, collaboration, and partnership development between SDR and their assigned colleges, while all SDR staff continue to collaborate in serving campus partners.
