Information for prospective students with disabilities considering a post-secondary education at Penn State

There is often a misconception by students and parents that post-secondary schools have the same responsibilities to provide reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities as elementary, middle, and high schools do.

While there are some similarities, the responsibilities of post-secondary schools are significantly different from those at the secondary level. Also, the responsibilities of students with disabilities are significantly different as well.
