How do I keep my proposal compliant?
Compliance and expectations
Programs must comply with all applicable University, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws.
This includes Penn State's Non-Discrimination policy (AD91). Projects may not discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics or adversely affect access, employment, education, or living environments (AD91).
AI use in proposals
If AI is used, proposals should explain:
- What the tool will be used for
- How human oversight will be maintained
- How privacy and data governance will be protected
- How bias and limitations will be addressed
- How the tool will augment, not replace, professional judgment
