Procedures for Requesting Academic Accommodations

 

These pages will assist you in registering with and utilizing the services of Student Disability Resources at Penn State. In order to be considered an active student registered with SDR, you must complete all three of the following steps:

  1. Review our disability Documentation Guidelines and submit appropriate documentation of disability to Student Disability Resources.
  2. Call SDR at 814-863-1807 or email () to schedule an intake appointment with a Disability Specialist from Student Disability Resources. This meeting will take about an hour and should not be scheduled during class time. If needed, this meeting can be completed via phone.
  3. Sign an academic adjustment letter and form for requesting academic adjustments (reasonable accommodations) and follow the process for receiving academic adjustments each semester.


Until you have completed all of these steps, you will not be registered with SDR, considered a student with a disability by the University, or entitled to accommodations or services.
