Accessible Transportation and Parking

University Park offers on-campus accessible parking spaces, CATABUS service, and campus shuttles

Accessible parking spaces

Are available on campus for individuals with state-issued accessible parking placards or license plates.

Note: Student Disability Resources is not involved in issuing accessible parking placards or license plates; contact Penn State Transportation Services if you have questions.

CATABUS service

No-fare rides circulating campus and downtown State College. CATA buses can accommodate wheelchairs, and service dogs are permitted on the buses.

The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) provides additional services to travel around the State College and surrounding areas.

Campus shuttles

Two no-fare shuttle buses provide more than 20 stops around the University Park campus. The shuttles are equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Penn State’s Transportation Services is responsible for coordinating these services and can answer related questions.
