  • August 4, 2022
  • 5:00 p.m.
  • 101 Boucke Building

Who is Project Spoonies?

Project Spoonies is dedicated to providing support for individuals with chronic illnesses and educating the community at large about living with chronic illnesses and disabilities. The goal is to create a supportive environment for students and provide opportunities to connect with peers who may have similar experiences as college students.

Project Spoonies is a subcommittee of the Community Diversity Group, who aims to foster a community based on inclusion and equity.

What is the meeting format?

This peer support group will meet bi-weekly for one hour.

  • In-person every other Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in 101 Boucke
  • Online every other Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. via Zoom for Commonwealth/World Campus students and University Park who are more comfortable with the online-format

The group will function under an open format meaning students are welcome to come and go at their convenience! This is not a counseling or therapy session but instead a chance to casually connect with peers.

You can contact Project Spoonies through their Facebook/Instagram page @ProjectSpoonies or through their email, projectspoonies@gmail.com, for more information.
